The Market in Roermond Roermond is a beautiful city located where the river Roer meets the Maas. Roermond has approximately 57.000 inhabitants and is located in the southern province of Limburg. The Stone Bridge in Roermond Roermond is located at the confluence of the Maas and Roer rivers. Due to the good development of the city, Roermond was granted city rights in 1232. Due to this location, good shipping started and therefore Roermond became a member of the Hanseatic League. The famous Pierre Cuypers was a Roermond citizen and you can still see that in the city.
