The Musis Sacrum in Arhem

Arnhem is the capital of the province of Gelderland and has around 150.000 inhabitants. The city has a lot to offer to keep you entertained. Arnhem is located on the river Nederrijn and in the city you will also come across the Sint-Jansbeek, on which the city once developed. The city has been described a lot in the history books.

The 39 historic cellars from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries in the Rijnstraat include the Sint-Eusebius Church (Kerkplein 1) with a viewing platform at a height of approximately 85 meters.
then we have the Koepelkerk followed by the Sint-Walburgis basilica then we have the John Frostbrug, Stokvishal, Battle of Arnhem Information Center (At the Rijnkade under the bridge) & Korenmarkt, Duivelshuis, Sabelspoort and finally the Arnhem Post Office and the Presickhaeffs house

The Ketelstraat in Arnhem

Arnhem is the seventh largest shopping city in the Netherlands, and in 2007 the center of Arnhem was voted “the best city center in the Netherlands 2007-2009”. Here you will find large department stores to small specialty shops in the smaller streets. Well-known shopping streets in Arnhem are: De Jansstraat, Roggestraat, Vijzelstraat, Ketelstraat, Steenstraat, Koningstraat, Bakkerstraat and Rijnstraat.

The Old Station Street in Arnhem

Of course you can also visit various museums in Arnhem, we start with the Arnhem War Museum 40-45 (Kemperbergerweg 780). these are by no means the only museums in the city, we still have the Historical Museum Arnhem (Bovenbeekstraat 21) and the Bronbeek Royal Home for Old Soldiers and Museum (Velperweg 147) then there are the Dutch Water Museum (zijpendaalseweg 26 – 28) and the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem (Utrechtseweg 87) followed by the Dutch Wine Museum (Velperweg 23) & Dutch Wine Museum (Nieuwe kade) finally we have the Trolleybus Museum Remisestraat (behind the City Office).

There are also a number of parks where you can possibly go, namely
Park Sonsbeek and House Sonsbeek. (Apeldoornseweg, Zijpendaalseweg) Park and Castle, Zypendaal ( Zijpendaalseweg) Park Klarenbeek, Park Presikhaaf. There are many more parks but these are the best.

Arnhem has a lively nightlife with a very regional atmosphere. The Korenmarkt and its immediate surroundings are known for the many bars, you can also visit one of the 8 theaters in bad weather.
